We collaborate with subject matter experts to refine our offering for key use cases. Mark is a specialist in the resilience sector who provides guidance on how Cutover Enterprise can best be used for Enterprise Resilience Management.
Name: Mark Heywood
Role: Resilience sector specialist
Can you give some background on your previous roles?
I’ve run risk and resilience functions across a number of different firms, most recently as Head of Operational Resilience at UBS where I was responsible for Business Continuity Management (BCM), Information Risk Management, Group Information Security, and Change Risk. Before that, I was Global Head of BCM for Barclays Investment Bank.
How did you get involved with Cutover?
I first saw the Cutover product several years ago when working at UBS. I saw an early version and was immediately impressed with the scope and vision of the team. When I embarked on a career change in 2016 the team approached me to help them get a better grasp of the resilience sector and I was only too happy to get involved.
What are your main responsibilities?
Driving the product strategy within the resilience sector and writing industry white papers.
What do you think will be your biggest challenge at Cutover?
Making sure we don’t try to solve too many problems at the same time. We should focus on making our core offering as good as it can possibly be before expanding into other areas.
What are your main priorities going forward and what do you see in the future for Cutover?
The first major priority is to validate the product within the resilience sector and work with existing clients to ensure we help them achieve their resilience goals. I’d like to help Cutover establish itself as the go-to product in this space.
