At Cutover, we believe our employees are our greatest source of insight. Every piece of feedback they share is an opportunity for us to grow as an organization. When our latest engagement survey highlighted areas where we could better support our team—particularly women and parents—we listened closely. Through a collaborative, feedback-driven process, we’re proud to announce enhanced women’s health and parental leave benefits designed with their needs in mind.
Spotlight on Lindsay DaCosta
Behind these initiatives is Lindsay DaCosta, one of our dedicated People Partners. Passionate about creating a workplace where everyone feels supported, Lindsay has been instrumental in driving these changes forward.
“Listening to our employees’ voices isn’t just important—it’s essential,” Lindsay explains. “The engagement survey provided us with invaluable insights, but we learned even more when we sat down with our female employees to dive deeper into their experiences. Their candid feedback helped us create benefits that genuinely matter to them.”
With years of experience in HR and a personal passion for fostering inclusivity, Lindsay believes that meaningful change comes from listening and acting.
From feedback to action
The engagement survey results told us that while our benefits were good, they could go further in addressing the specific needs of women and parents. That’s when the People Team and other leaders across the company, led by Lindsay, rolled up their sleeves.
We hosted Gender Listening Sessions for all women at Cutover and one-on-one conversations with our female employees to understand their unique challenges. What we heard was clear: they wanted more robust parental leave options, support for women’s health, and resources that reflected their everyday realities.
This feedback became the blueprint for our new benefits, which include:
- Enhanced parental leave, offering 24 weeks of full paid leave for maternity and adoption leave as well as four weeks full pay plus four weeks half pay for paternity or secondary caregiver leave.
- Women’s health resources, such as time off for fertility treatment appointments, menstrual leave and pregnancy loss, plans and support for gender reassignment purposes and much more.
The benefits: Designed with employees in mind
These enhancements are about more than just policies—they’re about fostering a culture of care. For certain employees, the new Maternity Leave offering has already made a tangible difference. Current employees planning to go on maternity leave were able to utilize the new offerings and take a full six months off with their new child, without the extra stress of financial matters.
Why listening matters
This journey focuses on one of our core beliefs: that listening to feedback is the key to building a workplace where everyone thrives. By acting on what we heard, we’ve taken a step toward creating a culture that supports not just professional growth, but personal well-being too.
As Lindsay puts it, “When we take the time to listen to our employees, they feel valued and empowered. And without our people, Cutover wouldn’t be where it is today.”
If you’re looking for a workplace that listens, evolves, and prioritizes its people, we’d love to hear from you. Learn more about our culture and opportunities.
