Cutover announces appointment of Dave McCann, ex-AWS VP of Engineering, to its Board of Directors

Dave McCann will help guide Cutover’s SaaS platform direction for cloud disaster recovery and regulated application management as it embraces the AI wave

London UK, August 29, 2024: Cutover, a leader in collaborative automated runbooks built specifically for highly regulated complex IT operations, is pleased to announce that Dave McCann, former VP of AWS Engineering for AWS Marketplace, Data Exchange, Control Services and Migration Services, has been appointed to its board of directors. Mr. McCann is a seasoned technology executive who brings decades of technology innovation experience and proven commercial expertise delivering software to multiple regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, telecommunications, oil and gas and governmental entities.

About Dave McCann: With 40 years of technology experience, including eight years in AWS, executive roles at Microsoft and IBM, and as CEO of four US VC- backed startups, Dave's expertise and experience in applications and systems for global enterprises is proven and broad. He ran or built leading AWS Services for Application & Data deployment, (Software Marketplace, Data Exchange), for application and resource governance (Control Tower/Service Catalog, App Registry), and for cloud migration and modernization (Migration Services/Migration Hub). Now semi-retired, Dave continues to advise select enterprises and software companies in the US and EMEA on scaling, cloud application resilience, cloud operations, digital supply chain and data governance. He also donates time and intellect to guiding several west coast US charities on using data and systems to improve their homelessness services to get people housed faster. He and his wife Angela spend time between the USA and UK.
